Stephen L. Sparks C.E.C, C.C.E, FEWMCS

Chef Sparks is certified by the American Culinary Federation as both, Certified Executive Chef and Certified Culinary Educator. He also is a member at Fellow status in the Epicurean World Master Chef Society, headquartered in London, England. Chef Sparks' industry experience includes several positions as Executive Chef in Southern California and Texas, Director of Food Service at Ambassador University, and Culinary Arts Instructor and Program Coordinator at Tyler Junior College. He is the recipient of numerous awards from professional culinary competitions; including two gold medals and "Best of Show" categories. Chef Sparks was three-time past President of Professional Chefs of Northeast Texas and Texas Chefs Association (Northeast Texas), and was awarded "Chef of the Year" three times by the American Culinary Federation. Chef Sparks has been a member of the SSCC faculty since 1994.
